Mostly Designers keep thinking about why their website does not appear in the search engine result even when they type the exact keywords. This happens because the website they design are not search engine friendly. They website has to be search engine friendly to attract more traffic.
There are a few principles to keep in mind while designing your site to be search engine friendly:
Add content: A website is totally paralyzed when there is appropriate content in it. The content that is added in the website should be fresh and informative. It should not have plagiarism involved in it. It should tell everything about the company, its working and services.
Images: Images give the website an attractive look to make more and more visitors lured. Every image should have an "alt" label and a corresponding text link.
Validate HTML Code: The HTML code used to build a website should be validated i.e. it should not have any errors. Designers should make a habit to run their final HTML code from the HTML and CSS validators. If your HTML code is not validated than it may lead the search engine software to feel that some of the text on your page is part of the HTML formatting information rather than your sites content.
Clearer Navigation: The navigation of the website should be clear and consistent. You should make sure that the navigation tools are obvious and not are misted up with appealing titles. Is this happens then your page may show a "page not found" error every time open it.
Final Effect: Finally it is important that the loading time of your website is less. Using a lot of flash can increase your website loading time and instead drift away the visitors. You also have to make sure that every page of website is consistent and have some connection with each other. Unlinked site can confuse the visitors.
